Foam Rollers are a fantastic option to assist with improving muscle length, joint range of motion and improving your flexibility. This product is commonly used to iron out sore spots or ‘trigger points’ commonly found in your muscles. Foam rollers can be used before, during and after sport to assist with your warm up, cool down and recovery.
There are many ways to use your foam roller. Commonly targeted muscle groups include your quadriceps, hamstrings, gluteals, hip flexors, calf muscles and mid back muscles. Tight areas such as your ITB (Illio-tibial-band) can also be worked on and rolled out.
Foam rollers are used as part of rehabilitation for injuries and conditions such as
- ITB (Illio-Tibial Band) Friction Syndrome
- Hip flexor and quadriceps tightness
- Gluteal Tightness
- Calf Tightness
- Achilles Tendinopathy
- Shin Splints
- Stiffness through your spine

We recommend that your book in with one of our physiotherapists before using a foam roller to assist with your rehabilitation. If used incorrectly foam rollers can delay recovery. Our physiotherapists will be able to design a foam roller program which is right for you.
