Early Intervention

Prompt treatment of work related injuries is the best way to ensure a speedy recovery.  Our physiotherapists are trained to identify when further investigation or medical care is required and will liaise closely with your local doctor when this is the case.

At Lifecare Frankston treatment in the early stages of your recovery from your work injury will include:

  • Hands on treatment to help relieve pain
  • Self-management advice and exercise to assist your recovery at home
  • Communication with your employer and local doctor to help you back to work as soon as possible
  • Regular assessments or your progress to ensure your recovery is going as planned

Rehabilitation & Work Conditioning

At Lifecare Frankston we understand that getting back to work, sport and hobbies often requires more than just hands on treatment and pain relief. Our physiotherapist’s are able to offer a range of exercise rehabilitation options including hydrotherapy, Pilates as well as utilising our well-equipped gym to provide specific work conditioning exercise rehabilitation programs.

Our Exercise Physiologists, who are experts in exercise, fitness and achieving healthy lifestyles, can also assist you reaching goals.

In this phase of recovery our team will help you regain your strength, fitness and confidence, as well as help you independently deal with flare-ups and give you the tools to take care of your injury long term.

When Pain Persists

We understand that for a percentage of injured workers, recovery is sometimes difficult and prolonged.  Dealing with chronic pain, being unable to work or participate in your usual activities can be a real strain.  At Lifecare Frankston we have Physiotherapists and Psychologists with additional training and expertise in helping people with chronic pain.  This may be through personalised, one to one support and treatment programs at Lifecare Frankston.  Alternatively we can discuss with you a referral to our partnered multi-discipline pain management program – the Precision Ascend Pain Management Program.

If your recovery seems to be taking too long or you have chronic pain contact our clinic to make an appointment or speak to one of our expert therapists about the assistance we can offer to see if this is right for you.
